Example weekly menu at Chalet Vithos
The menu below outlines a typical week at chalet Vithos.
We pride ourselves on providing outstanding dining and food is our primary passion, we understand how fundamental it can be as part of a holiday, particularly after a hard days skiing!
To see examples of our food please check out our Instagram sbafreelancechefs and hopefully you’ll see that this is what we love to do!
Menus are always subject to change week to week depending on availability of the best ingredients and the creativity of us, the chefs! However if there is anything that particularly takes your fancy below do mention it to us during booking and we’ll always do our very best to provide.
Children are also fully catered for, we can provide sample children’s menus on request but we find it’s often best to chat to parents beforehand and build a menu around the little ones favourites as they can often be the hardest to please! We can also provide nutritious baby food upon request.
All dietary requirements can be catered for, simply tell us during the booking process and we will provide alternative options. Any strong likes or dislikes can also be catered for, just let us know.
If your party has a birthday during your stay we will be happy to make special cake for the day for a small extra fee.
All main courses are served with a selection of the best locally sourced vegetables.
Canapés will vary each evening.
An extensive continental breakfast will be served each morning with homemade preserves and granola, fresh bread and fruits, yoghurt, juice, smoothie, croissants, cereals etc.

What to expect
We will be eagerly awaiting your arrival by the lift ready to help with your luggage before directing you to your chosen room. You will then be invited downstairs to enjoy a tea or coffee with your first homemade afternoon tea cake of the week. After familiarising yourself, checking out your ski gear which will be waiting on arrival in the ski locker”, or just relaxing we will present a brief welcome speech over cocktails and canapés before your first 3/4 course evening meal.
Then you can relax in front of the fire, in the hot tub or just make your way to bed. Breakfast will run between 8am and 10am each morning after which we will carry out housekeeping available until midday. Afternoon tea will be available each day from the time we leave (usually midday). We generally return to to work at 5 with children tea at 6 (where applicable) with canapés at 7 and dinner at 7.30 (all times are flexible to your group requirements).
On our day off (Thursday) you will have a continental breakfast which we will clear away at midday followed by an evening at the restaurant of your choosing (Please note there will be no housekeeping on this day). On Saturday you will find that because of our very unique Sunday to Sunday week the slopes are much quieter than any other day of the week due to other chalets having changeover days, this gives you a great chance at all times of the year to experience the freedom from busy slopes at least one day of the week.
On the final morning we will provide breakfast in the chalet or breakfast hamper if required before helping with your luggage back to your transfer and waving you off home.
What our guests say
Sophie Burnside-Allen and Scott prepared and served outstanding food for my party of fishers in Scotland this summer. They did this with charm and were delightful to all our guests. I highly recommend them to all.
